Music as the bridge to consciousness-emotion-healing

This is the best vid online re: music and emotions, except the doc "Music Instinct." The research on the congo "pygmies" is similar to the Mafa tribe research in Cameroon and a tribe in Cambodia tested. All show that humans universally react similarly to happy/sad/scary as major/minor/tritone harmonics. But Dr. Egermann in his first two explanations based on learning - is actually citing the neoformalist view of Leonard B. Meyer, which goes back to the 1950s. So Meyer noted that all human cultures use the 1-4-5 music intervals, as the natural harmonics and neuroscience now shows that the Perfect Fifth has the strongest neuron amplitude synchronization in the brain as well. Timing is left brain dominant while frequency is right brain dominant but the emotional reaction based on the sympathetic or parasympathetic is due to the vagus nerve connection to the inner ear, as the main transducer of dopamine-serotonin and oxytocin. here:
For example, the louder and more dissonant the music, the less activity there was in subcortical structures that are important for emotions.
Western scientists playing Western music to nonwestern tribes is limited by the fact that Western music is not the natural harmonics, ever since Plato and Archytas - promoting "alogon" as irrational magnitude from music theory (see Luigi Borzacchini math professor 2007 on incommensurability, the continuum and music theory). So the nonwestern trance view of music is actually much more sophisticated since as Alain Connes points out - the math is noncommutative - in the empirically true natural harmonics. This leads to quantum biology and quantum psychology - that I've researched. I did my master's thesis on music theory and "sound-current nondualism" but I was still not understanding the noncommutative math yet.

For example the subharmonic 2/3 as the Perfect Fifth (C to F) got covered up by Archytas and Plato, since it does not allow the irrational magnitude from (Harmonic mean x arithmetic mean = geometric mean squared). So doubling the subharmonic Perfect Fifth to create the Perfect Fourth as 4/3, C to F, then allowed the logarithmic symmetric math of the West to be developed. This was a "deep pre-established disharmony" that, to quote Borzacchini, is a concealed music origin of Western math, that is "really astonishing" and "shocking" - and the secret guiding evolutive principle of Western science as incommensurability. So for example the Congo tribe mentioned - their whole culture, like the original human culture, the Bushmen, from which all modern humans originate from, is completely focused on trance dance music training by the males - to create sonoluminescence and sonofusion spiritual healing - this is the basis for music theory as the noncommutative origins of Taoism and the three gunas of India.

Dr. Victor Grauer hints at this in his book "Sounding the Depths" - and then his new blog touches on the infrasound and ultrasound resonance of natural harmonics. There is a nonlinear ionization process due to the "hypersonic effect' that has ELF subharmonics - Dr. Andrija Puharich discovered this "Phonon-Hydron" secret for his CIA mind control research - as well. So as Westerners our concept of sound, assumes a physical string or tube of air, etc. when in fact the original humans listened to sound, without the need for an instrument. And in fact listening resonates into quantum phonon synchronization that is 10 times faster than quantum time-frequency uncertainty, due to the nonlinear noncommutative phase-space, from stereophonic phase synchronization. This, as new research shows, bottoms out into the fundamental frequency pitch perceived, shifting to a perfect fifth, and the highest pitch we hear "externally" actually resonates as ultrasound internally, thereby resonating to the highest amplitude our quantum consciousness from the microtubules of the neurons.

As Puharich realized, and Dr. Mae-Wan Ho also realized in her "quantum jazz" model - this causes biophotons to be emitted as water is split from the piezoelectric resonance of the collagen, the most common protein in the body. So I did all the Western music training - ear training, orchestration, counterpoint composition, piano performance, memorizing Bach, Mozart, Brahms, etc. but it is in the actual music-math connection that basic assumptions about spacetime have to be questioned - de Broglie's Law of Phase Harmony was discovered by realizing that relativity of Einstein goes against the basic Pythagorean discovery that time as wavelength is inverse to frequency. So as the Taoists realized, in fact the "infinite" spiral of fifths, based on noncommutative math is the truth of reality - what Alain Connes calls a "universal scaling system" that unifies quantum and relativity - to create negentropy or quantum relative entropy as a reverse time negative entropy ( nonlocal dark energy as what the Taoists called Yuan Qi or the original human culture called N/om). I have a pdf that gives the psycho-physiological details of this training from music theory - this is what all males were required to train in based on the real truth of music theory - on my blog http://ecoechoinvasives.blogspot.com

And look - the Royal Society returns to Pythagoras!

Until recently, the failure of most musical tuning systems to conform to the mathematics of small integer ratios was grounds for rejecting Pythagoras's proposal that small integer frequency ratios account for the perception of musical consonance and harmonicity [19]. However, recent modelling of the cumulative effects of physiological nonlinearities at each way-station of the ascending auditory pathway has disclosed the presence of ‘resonance neighbourhoods’ at whole integer ratio spacings on the tonotopic maps of the auditory system [2022]. This finding not only accommodates a wide range of tuning systems and musical scales found worldwide, but appears capable of accounting for human judgements of consonance, dissonance and tonal stability/attraction in terms of inherent organizational features of our auditory system ([20]; see also [2327]), as follows. The pattern of ‘resonance neighbourhoods’ in auditory system tonotopy is likely to be shared by all mammals, being a product of quite elementary properties of the neural circuitry in question. It did not evolve for purposes of music, in other words, but as an incidental by-product of the interaction of excitation and inhibition in a neural system evolved to process natural sounds efficiently [20].
