Why Carl Huffman does not understand Peter Kingsley


Thank you Eduard for citing Andrew Barker. I was reading him a couple days ago because he was cited in this pdf http://www.jordanbell.org/history/squareroots.pdf
Approximating Square Roots in Antiquity. If you open that pdf guess what you'll find! The same ratio that you erroneously claimed was the Pythagorean Comma! haha. So also what I found very funny is that Andrew Barker himself did not realize that ratio was the square root ratio from Philolaus - before Archytas! So also Carl Huffman doesn't understand noncommutative phase, but math professor Alain Connes does. This is why Huffman does not like the analysis of Peter Kingsley. Connes realizes that the Pythagorean noncommutative secret of (2, 3, infinity) is the foundation of the Universe and of reality. Peter Rowlands also realizes this, as does math professor Louis Kauffman, since the square root of negative one is actually from a noncommutative time-frequency foundation. Rowland calls it based on a Klein Bottle that can not be visualized inherently - since a Klein Bottle is 5D. This can also be modeled by noncommutative tori or 2 moebius strips that are put together, but in reverse. Aka the Tai Chi symbol. Connes says that our brain does an amazing reverse Fourier spectrum analysis that changes pure frequency-time into 4D spacetime. So in other words for each "point" in symmetric math spacetime of relativity there is already noncommutative phase as the nonlocal 5th dimension, called "protoconsciousness" by Bernard d'Espagnat and other quantum physicists, like Professor Basil J. Hiley and Professor Aharonov and Sir Roger Penrose.

Of course the ancients knew this and knew much more - how to activate this force, what I called the Fundamental Force in 1996, as a living energy, a sphere of negative mass that is, as Schroedinger realized, the secret to life. The quantum degeneracy pressure of stars is also the secret of life, as negentropic force or a novel quantum self-force that is nonlocal and reverse time momentum from the future! Olivier Costa de Beauregard, the protege of Louis de Broglie, realized this explains precognition. haha.

So just as with music, you have to practice the book on an instrument, only the music instrument is your own body and mind! For example if you memorize Bach's Italian Concerto in F, the 2nd movement, is at 1 beat per second. This will synchronize your heart as spirit energy with your breathing and so you can memorize more easily as right-brain dominance. This was the original use of the Divine Lyre - from the real secret of complementary opposite harmonics that Philolaus lied about!! haha.

So his point is to critique Huffman claiming Philolaus was more of a PreSocratic than a Pythagorean. But as I blogged earlier Zhmud has been shown to misunderstand Parmenides on what Being is. And so in this case, he points out Aristotle referring to various other Pythagoreans discussing how the Void is some sort of external breathing of the Universe that creates time - and how modern scholars have struggled to figure out what this means!! The answer is noncommutative phase as the 5th dimension! The ancients knew this as this is also the basis for Qi and Prana training in India that both are based on the infinite spiral of fifths as well from Pythagorean philosophy.

And so Zhmud reveals how Plato believed in Time as the motion of the geometric sphere while the early Pythagoreans believed time as external to physical reality and is breathed into physical reality through the void - the Counter-Fire that is secretly the Being of Parmenides as Fire as spirit below Water - alchemically.

By the time of Plato, Archytas and Philolaus had reduced time to symmetric geometric magnitude as the indeterminate dyad.

Zhmud then states that clearly Philolaus claim that cosmogony is modeled by the first breath an animal takes after being born - to cool down the body - as cosmic breathing has actually nothing to do with the cosmology of Philolaus but rather is the view of Hippon, that Philolaus agrees with: I.e. that the soul is cold and so cools down the body.

What Zhmud doesn't realize is that this it the same key concept of Daoist alchemy - called Pre-Heaven breathing or precelestial breathing that is based on the fetus having the energy channels open to the cosmic Yuan Qi energy of the Universe through the mother's womb and the mother's energy. So upon the first breathing of the air, the heart realigns its pericardium so that there is a fundamental disconnect from the Yuan Shen, the original spirit from before birth, on the left side of the heart and the left eye  - and the Yuan Qi on the right side of the heart - and the right eye. And so the Yuan Qi is what cools the body down as it is the parasympathetic vagus nerve energy channels in contrast to the sympathetic nervous system that heats the body up. But even though the Sun is also cold - originally - the Yuan Qi or breath of the Universe is cold but ironically creates heat when combined back together with the spirit of fire as light. It gives fire to the light - due to quantum degeneracy pressure that is sonofusion energy.

And so this is why Pythagorean meditation is called "incubation" - to crack open the Cosmic Egg as the Orphic Womb-Tomb of the body - by putting fire under the water to build up the original breathing energy of the Void, so that the lunar relative void is turned, via the Solar fire heat, as the kundalini snake Pythias, back into the absolute void that radiates light as heat and electromagnetic energy - yet is itself cool or the cold breathing external to the physical universe.

So then when Zhmud discusses number - he is making the "cognitive" error that math professor Luigi Borzacchini points out. Zhmud is imposing a visual bias toward number as geometry, instead of number as logistics or more specifically - number as the harmonics of listening as philosophy. As Westerners we favor perception of visual measurement as being more precise when in fact our ears can listen to subanstrom wavelengths as quantum coherence that is inherently nonlocal! The ancients understood that "sonification" of reality is more precise and more accurate and so Zhmud can not even fathom the mathematics of noncommutative phase, as he blathers on about the science of numbers as mathematics. Hilarious!

And when Zhmud discusses Philolaus's understanding of irrational magnitude he makes absolutely no reference to the fact that Philolaus constructed irrational magnitude from the continued proportion by "flipping" the Lyre around - as the Lie! haha. And so this corroborates, as Zhmud is criticizing Huffman, that both of them are clueless about the irrational magnitude harmonics of Philolaus.

So when Zhmud refers to Aristotle referring to the Pythagorean Philip of Opus, that the Counter-Earth as the sublunar void explains why Lunar eclipses are more common that solar eclipses - what none of them realize is that the Counter-Earth means to put the Solar Fire as the One into the relative Void of the Moon as the Hearth or Hestia - the Alchemical Cauldron of the Body that is also cosmic - the Daoist cauldron of fire as the lower tan t'ien or the small intestines. When that relative void is filled up then the energy goes past the Moon into the Absolute Void as Apeiron, the Counter-Fire to the Sun or Central Fire.

So then Zhmud wonders how can Aristotle claim the Hearth is the number 1, if so then the Fixed Sphere of the Stars has to be the number 11 and yet 10 is the perfect number of the Pythagoreans! But for Aristotle the UnMoved Mover is actually the fixed Light of the Hearth AS the sphere of the stars whereas Apeiron is the Absolute void the breathes the light - that creates linear time that we observe through light, etc. In other words, as physics has shown, light has relativistic mass that is hidden momentum from the future, superluminal noncommutative phase.

So then Zhmud has a long argument that the early orthodox Pythagoreans did not even care about the number 10 but rather the Tetrad or Tetraktys was based on the ratios with Eudemus saying these ratios sum to 9 not ten. Indeed this is again why the Pythagoreans state that One is not a number - or as I put it - the secret of the third eye of the illuminati is that the Pyramid will never have a capstone! To fully open the third eye means the ego has to vanish into zero time, as light is turned around, so that visions of the future can manifest by bending or breathing the formless awareness itself.

And so as Zhmud points out the number 10 fixation is actually Platonic but he doesn't realize that Timaeus is actually from Philolaus promoting irrational magnitude harmonics! So the number 10 is from the summing of squaring the octave as geometric mean in Timaeus and the squaring of the Perfect Fifth then is part of the geometric mean equation, since 9/8 can not be rationally divided as the whole tone from 3/2 squared as 9/4 and halved back into the octave as 9/8. Or to subtract the Perfect Fifth from Perfect Fourth as 9/8 means to use geometric magnitude, NOT the Pythagorean teaching of complementary opposites of frequency and time (wavelength).

So then Zhmud incorrectly infers that Aristotle must not have had any real Pythagorean teachings since otherwise his students Theophratus, etc. would not have attributed to Pythagoreans a theory of both the monad AND the interdeterminate dyad. What Zhmud doesn't realize is that Philolaus changed the meaning of interdeterminate dyad into irrational magnitude as the One - which is the meaning that Plato used.

And so then Zhmud wonders why would should think the Pythagoreans understood the Ten in the Tetrad as a "potentiality"? Of course they did since One is not a number - so it fits precisely with Aristotle's understanding of light as intelligible matter that is intelligible number.

Then Zhmud gets mad at Aristotle for "violating" the rainbow colors by reducing them to three - when in fact Goethe proved that the rainbow colors can be produced by three, using the same secrets of the Pythagoreans!  So now I'll have to email Leonid Zhmud in St. Petersburg Russia. haha.


Dear Professor Zhmud: Thank you for your fascinating critique of Huffman on Philolaus. Huffman cites Andrew Barker but Barker did not realize that the Boethius analysis of Philolaus reveals he derived geometric mean as irrational magnitude from music harmonics! So to quote math professor Alain Connes:

passing to the octave (frequency ratio of 2) and transposition (the perfect fifth is the frequency ratio 3/2), with the approximate value log(3)/ log(2) ∼ 19/12 responsible for the difference between the “circulating temperament” of the Well Tempered Clavier and the “equal temperament” of XIX century music. 

In other words the 12th root of 3 and the 19th root of 2. So then I typed into google to do the caculation for me "2 to the 19th=" And I copy and paste this:

524288

This is the ratio that Philolaus derived, as noted in the above pdf.

It is precisely the irrationality of log(3)/ log(2) which is responsible for the noncommutative [complementary opposites as yin/yang] nature of the quotient corresponding to the three places {2, 3,∞}. -Alain Connes 

So you might want to rethink your view on the Pythagoreans. I did a blog post critiquing your critique of Huffman. haha.

Connes:

There is behind the scene, there is a square root and when you take a square root there is an ambiguity and the ambiguity that is there is from the spin structure....Finite space which is there is essentially the simplest finite space which has dimension zero, as far as the [frequency] spectrum is concerned...." 

Andrew Barker did not realize that Philolaus was using irrational magnitude! Hilarious.

“Orthodox Pythagorean theory recognizes five consonances: fourth, fifth, octave, twelfth, and double octave; and these are represented by the multiple and superparticular ratios [n + 1 : n] from the tetrad. The number 8 obviously does not belong to the tetrad.”

9/4 halved into octave as 9/8. 3/2 x 4/3 = 2 (geometric mean squared). log(3:2×4:3)=log(2:1) log(3:2)+log(4:3)=log(2:1) and so to "subtract" the Perfect Fifth from the Perfect Fourth with 9/8 as the result means to multiply the inverse as geometric magnitude (not frequency x wavelength inversion of Orthodox Pythagorean teachings).

"Our brain is an incredible ....perceives things in momentum space of the photons we receive and manufactures a mental picture. Which is geometric. But what I am telling you is that I think ...that the fundamental thing is spectral [frequency]....And somehow in order to think we have to do an enormous Fourier Transform...on geometry. By talking about the "music of shapes" is really a fourier transform of shape and the fact that we have to do it in reverse." Alain Connes, 2012 

The One is not a number since it is light as potential, intelligible matter.

Don't get fooled by Archytas since with Arithmetic Mean x Harmonic mean = geometric mean squared then ONLY 3/2 as C to G overtone can be used while 2/3 as C to F undertone Perfect Fifth can NOT be used. It's a scam that started with Philolaus. As Professor Richard McKirahan details, Philolaus flipped his Lyre around and then created a double octave - so that a monochord started with 0 and the Perfect Fifth minus itself was 0 but you can have a Perfect Fifth as the same pitch with different frequency based on frequency and wavelength being complementary opposites.

Pythagoreans taught that ALL IS NUMBER AND HARMONY - not that all is geometric magnitude so that 12:8 (3/2) plus 8:6 (4/3) = 2/1 as geometric magnitude from the double octave. This has to use 0 to 8 as one "root tonic" for 6/8 wavelength as 4/3 frequency and then 0 to 12 as the other root tonic for 12/8 frequency as 3/2 with 8/12 wavelength. This is called the "ghost tonic" in music theory since the Perfect Fourth can not be created from the harmonic series as 3 does not go into 2 from 1 as the root tonic denominator. In other words the root tonic changes due to complementary opposites.

Boethius tells that "the fifth hammer [9/8] which was dissonant with all, was rejected."

To quote David Fowler, author of The Mathematics of Plato’s Academy (Oxford University Press)

“...the manipulations of music theory seem to depend fundamentally on the operation of compounding, an operation which seems to pose some serious problems for mathematicians. My purely speculative suggestion...is that music theory might plausibly give some help with this problem.”
And indeed math professor Luigi Borzcchini realized that music theory was the answer to this problem as a "negative judgement paradox" that was covered up by Plato using geometry. Borzacchini states it's a cognitive bias that ignores the harmonics of logistics without geometry.
Then Borzacchini pulls out his trump card:

"However, I think I can prove that in the Platonic Academy there was a trace of this earlier approach, with a tight connection between music, numerical means and similarity, and without any reference to geometric figures, such as square or pentagon." 

Borzacchini, again, is revealing a cover-up:

"Why these silences? And why this sudden and radical change?" (hiding the secret musical origins of western science!). "Why this sharp change? I think the first reason was that the musical proof was only negative, whereas the geometrical approach allowed the effective construction of incommensurable magnitudes." 

To quote Alain Connes again in his lecture on Music of the noncommutative quantum sphere:

The point makes a chord between two notes [of the quantum drum]....The two eigenfunctions will be nonzero, ...if you look carefully at the two shapes [isospectral but not isomorphic] It is impossible to make a chord because the corresponding eigenfunction only means to 1 of the 2 pieces So it is zero in the other piece [and vice versa]. So this chord will not be possible. Now if you understand this example, you understand the finite invariant which is behind the scene, which is allowing you to reconstruct the geometry from the spectrum....Our geometric point will emerge by correlation between different frequencies. A point in the space will actually give you the correlation between the different frequencies. That is how we shall think about the point. It is not enough to give the scale [of the spectrum] but you also have to give which chords are possible. 

What this means in terms of Pythagorean time-frequency harmonics is that G=3=F at the same time, as a quantum nonlocal Void that "breathes" the light of the Universe, and this has alchemical secrets, detailed in the Daoist book, "Taoist Yoga: Alchemy and Immortality" translated by Charles Luk.
What Philolaus did was cover up the ancient alchemical secret: Professor Richard McKirahan:

So instead of taking 12:9, which is 3/4 of 12, we take 8:6, which is 3/4 of 8. And so by adding the length 12 to 8 [as geometric magnitude not wavelength!!] with the length 8 to 6, [as geometric magnitude, not wavelength!!] we get the length 12 to 6, which corresponds to the ratio 2:1.
