Arctic Freak Out

Brian thanks for your permafrost arcticle (pun intended). There is no media coverage (barely) of the real bomb! 50 gigaton methane bomb - as in "game over" - already starting to kick out!!

Read that interview with Natalia Shakhova - then check out Peter Wadhams who did over 50 arctic trips studying ice out of Cambridge (sharing office with Stephen Hawking).
So those are the two top arctic ice experts - Wadhams says unless we get a Manhattan Project style geoengineering carbon sink project going - we are doomed. But as if that is going to happen.
Meaning we are doomed - as Guy McPherson points out - Wadhams does not include the global dimming feedback for example, among other feedbacks.
Thanks,

In the Arctic and 20 degrees C in the Antarctic. Seems we lose the poles sooner than expected. See a trend?
yeah there is rate of renewables as electricity. Then global emissions including agricultural methane, fracking methane, arctic methane, etc. and then rate of global emissions growth, from deforestation now emitting carbon instead of sinks; from latent heat in oceans built up, continuing to emit - a 40 year delay time with half of global emissions still left to heat up the planet. If we stopped all emissions tomorrow then Earth would heat up at least 1.5 Celsius temp within a few weeks, due to the "global dimming" effect from sulfate aerosols ending.
